In the ocean, Aquaman receives a hero's welcome, but Aqualad feels ignored. Aqualad then meets Tula, an Atlantean girl his own age. She convinces him to leave Atlantis and have some adventures of his own. Like becoming a cage dancer at an underwater discotheque. Confused? Don't worry, I'll be right back with doctor Husband to explain everything. [00:01:53] Speaker A: Aquaman, Aquaman no one greater than Aquaman King of Atlantis, King of the sea where the danger is that's where he'll be Always defending you yeah, you and me Aquaman he can swim faster than the fastest thing in the sea or on the land with mirrors his beautiful queen beside him he'll fight with all his might till the end oh, you can always depend on mankind's truest friend Aquaman, [00:02:50] Speaker B: where have you been all weekend? I'd like to know? [00:02:52] Speaker C: I've been in Columbus to visit the Queen. [00:02:59] Speaker B: The Queen's there. [00:03:02] Speaker C: Pussycat, Pussycat. [00:03:04] Speaker B: Yes, I know. [00:03:05] Speaker C: Yes. No, I was there visiting your family. My family, too. [00:03:10] Speaker B: I couldn't go. I had a show. [00:03:13] Speaker C: Oh, my gosh. I had a quick turnaround trip, didn't I? So today's Sunday and I drove. I left yesterday morning and arrived in the afternoon. And I went to a crew match with Sarah. [00:03:25] Speaker B: Columbus crew? It's a futball team with your older sister. [00:03:29] Speaker C: And we had. We had great seats. We were just seven rows up and we were so close, we could Hear them talking. And we could. Or shouting at each other. And we could see them indicating where they're gonna, you know, kick the, kick the ball and everything. It was fantastic. And they won. And it was a big, big, long, historic rivalry with Cincinnati. [00:03:50] Speaker B: I think you'll find it's pronounced Cincinnati. [00:03:52] Speaker C: Yes. So then we went from there to a gathering with family and had kind of late night and then I drove back today. [00:04:03] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:04:05] Speaker C: And here we are. [00:04:06] Speaker B: You're going to be doing a lot of driving this week. [00:04:08] Speaker C: I know I will. [00:04:09] Speaker B: Right. [00:04:10] Speaker C: I'll be gone Wednesday. I'll be gone for five days. Yeah. [00:04:13] Speaker B: Now you're going camping. [00:04:15] Speaker C: Yes. [00:04:16] Speaker B: How many boas are you taking? [00:04:18] Speaker C: Just the two. My day boa and night boa. [00:04:20] Speaker B: Matching mules, I'm assuming. [00:04:22] Speaker C: Well, yes, I'll be wearing the camp mules. [00:04:25] Speaker B: Right. [00:04:26] Speaker C: The kitten heels. They're very sure. [00:04:28] Speaker B: Well, you never know what kind of mud situation there's going to be. [00:04:33] Speaker C: Well, that's what the kimonos are for. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right. So just in case they get. They, you know, they get soiled, I can take them down to the creek and gently wash them in the creek and hang them up to dry very quickly. Yes. [00:04:44] Speaker B: Oh, you can't gently wash a kimono. You've got to beat it on the rocks at the river. Take it from me. [00:04:51] Speaker C: Reminds me I need to finish stringing my guitar. I started that right before I left. You're going so angry about that. [00:04:57] Speaker B: Why? [00:04:58] Speaker C: Crawl space. [00:05:01] Speaker A: Oh. [00:05:01] Speaker C: But that'll be dealt with tomorrow. It's gonna be fine. [00:05:03] Speaker B: Yes, yes, yes. Guitar. You're going to a music festival? [00:05:09] Speaker C: Yes. [00:05:09] Speaker B: Camping out in the wilderness. [00:05:10] Speaker C: I'm going to the Appalachian String Band Music Festival in clifftop West Virginia. It's old time music festival. Although there are many different genres of music there. Folk music, so there'll be Irish music there and Acadian music, Cajun music, all sorts of things. But the centerpiece of the festival and most of the music is old time music. So. [00:05:31] Speaker B: Yeah, I have my own show to attend to. [00:05:35] Speaker C: And what a triumph it was. I so loved that I went to opening night and just had the best time. It was such a. It was Little Mermaid. [00:05:45] Speaker B: Yes. So if you're in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia, tickets are still available for the Little Mermaid at the old Opera House Theater Company. [00:05:54] Speaker C: It's a cast of about 50 people. [00:05:56] Speaker B: It's a lot of people. [00:05:58] Speaker C: Yeah, but it's so dear and fun and funny. [00:06:02] Speaker B: The children are precious. Except I had to yell at the snail children. [00:06:07] Speaker C: You did. [00:06:08] Speaker B: Yes. Well, because they were coming out for their entrance on stage and they have to come out and sit up on a rock and sing Kiss the Girl. Well, they come out and they shove Poor Sebastian out of the way so that they can grab the rock and move it literally 1 inch on the stage. [00:06:27] Speaker C: They don't know I know. Yeah. You didn't yell at them one time. [00:06:30] Speaker B: I didn't yell at them. I yelled at the stage people who subsequently yelled at them. [00:06:34] Speaker C: Okay. All right. Yes. [00:06:36] Speaker B: I don't. As you know, I don't raise my voice ever. [00:06:39] Speaker C: No, no. Except to me. Except to you, fish wife me. [00:06:43] Speaker B: And you call it yelling? I just call it being assertive. [00:06:48] Speaker C: It's not how loud you say it, it's how you say it. [00:06:53] Speaker B: Is that so? Speaking of mermaids. [00:06:57] Speaker C: Yes. [00:06:57] Speaker B: Are you ready to meet Aquagirl? She's wild, wet and wacky. [00:07:08] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:07:10] Speaker B: I adore Aqua Girl. Certainly. I do. You don't. [00:07:19] Speaker C: I. It's fine. What? I cannot stand the teen speak in this. It is. It is like reading a scooter comic. It is. [00:07:31] Speaker B: Well, it's written by Bob Haney, so I don't know what you came here expecting. [00:07:36] Speaker C: Okay, all right. Yeah, it's the teen speak. The groovy chick. Blah blah, blah, blah. Groovy chick. You know, I don't know. Scoot. Let's all scatter and scoot. And you know, all these things that are just ridiculous. [00:07:51] Speaker B: I did groovy speak. I did disclose my age to one of the non snail children who are in the production and he was trying to guess what kind of slang I might have used as a teen. [00:08:08] Speaker C: What? What a strange thing. [00:08:12] Speaker B: Well, it's because he said something to me that I didn't know the meaning of because it's modern day teen slang, which doesn't make any kind of sense. And I said I didn't understand. And someone else said it's because he's 40. 40. [00:08:28] Speaker C: You wish. [00:08:29] Speaker B: I know. Then I disclosed my real age. So he was. What did you say? When you were a teenager, what'd you say? Neato. [00:08:39] Speaker C: You said that. [00:08:40] Speaker B: No, I didn't. That's what they were guessing. [00:08:42] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. Bitchin. [00:08:44] Speaker B: And honestly, I couldn't even remember. [00:08:45] Speaker C: Bitchin'. [00:08:46] Speaker B: Bitchin'. Radical. [00:08:48] Speaker C: Radical. [00:08:48] Speaker B: He didn't say radical. Yeah, that was an accurate guess. Although I never talked like that. I spoke King's English. [00:08:55] Speaker C: You did not. You must have said some slang. [00:08:58] Speaker B: No, why would I? [00:09:00] Speaker C: Just to be cool. [00:09:01] Speaker B: I wasn't cool. That's the point. I was born old. I didn't like Children. When I was one. [00:09:09] Speaker C: Aquaman and Aqualed. [00:09:11] Speaker B: Yes. [00:09:12] Speaker C: Sorry, Aquaman. [00:09:13] Speaker B: It's all Aquaman's fault. Aqualid and Aquagirl have gone berserk. And we see on the COVID they're attacking a police boat. [00:09:21] Speaker C: Yes. [00:09:22] Speaker B: Police are going helter skelter into the ocean. They'll probably drowned. [00:09:28] Speaker C: They'll probably drowned. So, Aquaman and Aqualid. [00:09:32] Speaker B: Yes. [00:09:33] Speaker C: Right. Down under the eternal sea, it sometimes seems like there's nothing. That nothing ever changes but life in fabulous Atlantis. I'm sorry, that is a really long and awkward pause. Let me try it again. [00:09:45] Speaker B: Okay, I'll edit that out. No, I won't. [00:09:48] Speaker C: No, you won't. Down under the eternal sea, it sometimes seems like nothing ever changes. But life in fabulous Atlantis, the home of Aquaman, does change. Like right here in this adventure when Aqualid, the sea king's teen ally, gets a case of growing pains that turns the oceans upside down. It all begins when Aqualid, who, like every young guy, thinks he's big enough to strike out on his own, but he's not doing it solo. He's accompanied by the zingiest, swingiest character in the D.C. water world, none other [00:10:19] Speaker B: than Aquila's deep six chick. Growing pains. That's an interesting way to put horny. Doesn't it look peaceful and serene under the ocean, Rob? In the vast underwater domain of Aquaman, king of the seven seas, suddenly a jetliner plunges into the ocean. Uh oh, that doesn't. [00:10:43] Speaker C: How many times do planes crash? Uh, just once. [00:10:49] Speaker B: Oh, ha ha ha ha. I thought you wanted actual data. A giant jetliner plunges beneath the waves. Well, first of all, it wouldn't survive. No, it would be smashed to pieces and all the people would be dead. But miraculously, the plane holds together. The people are trapped inside with only the air that they had inside to breathe. Luckily, Aquaman and Aqualet are nearby. Luckily, Also, a sawfish is nearby to cut through the hull. [00:11:21] Speaker C: Everybody knows that. That's exactly how sawfish work. [00:11:25] Speaker B: That's what sawfishes do. [00:11:26] Speaker C: They can use their powerful proboscis. [00:11:30] Speaker B: Yes. [00:11:30] Speaker C: With teeth on the tube. [00:11:33] Speaker B: How does sawfish eat? Huh? [00:11:37] Speaker C: I've never thought about that before. Sawfish, you know, they have those jagged edges. [00:11:41] Speaker B: I don't even know what a sawfish is. [00:11:42] Speaker C: Okay, nevermind. [00:11:44] Speaker B: Also backstage, there's an interesting discussion going on about do mermaids eat fish? [00:11:50] Speaker C: Yes, you wouldn't. You think? [00:11:53] Speaker B: Not because the fish in this show talk to them. Yes, they carry on conversations, but also Little Flounder, the most precious child actor who's ever lived. [00:12:05] Speaker C: Adorable. So talented. [00:12:08] Speaker B: He has a whole song about being Ariel's favorite seafood dish. And he says she treats him like sashimi, so he must be aware that someone's eating seafood. [00:12:20] Speaker C: Well. And if you. You wouldn't have seen this. Well, I guess you can see this where you are. But when the whole dinner is being served in the Little Mermaid, she's horrified by all the dishes because it's all fish themed dishes or seafood. Yeah. Are those costumes rented? [00:12:39] Speaker B: Some are, and some are made. [00:12:41] Speaker C: Oh, wow. [00:12:43] Speaker B: I know. [00:12:44] Speaker C: Just so impressed. The set was fantastic. [00:12:47] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:12:47] Speaker C: I bet Lee did that. [00:12:48] Speaker B: He did. He does all the sets. [00:12:50] Speaker A: Wow. [00:12:50] Speaker B: Lee is our friend and he and his wife pet sit for us. And he also played Louis the chef. [00:12:58] Speaker C: He was hilarious. [00:12:58] Speaker B: So tickets are still available. [00:13:00] Speaker C: He was hilarious. I'm laughing thinking of it again. [00:13:04] Speaker B: He calls that a princess role. [00:13:06] Speaker C: Oh, does he? [00:13:07] Speaker B: You just walk on, sing one song and you're done. [00:13:09] Speaker C: Oh, nice. I like that. Yeah, yeah. [00:13:13] Speaker B: All right. [00:13:14] Speaker C: I had one of those. [00:13:15] Speaker B: You did? [00:13:15] Speaker C: Yeah. Freddie. [00:13:16] Speaker B: My Fair lady, right? [00:13:18] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:13:18] Speaker C: He sings. He sings Street We Live goes off, comes back, sings Street We Live reprise, walks off, gets beaten up by Liza Doolittle. Oh, he's also in the Ascot Races. [00:13:27] Speaker B: That's it. [00:13:28] Speaker C: And he gets beaten up by. By Liza Doolittle. And he walks off. It was a fantastic role. I loved it. It's great because it's street on the Street We Live. And everybody loves that song. [00:13:36] Speaker B: Right? [00:13:36] Speaker C: You get all this applause. You have to do one sixth of the work that Eliza Doolittle has to do. One eighth of the work. Did you? But I learned how to play cribbage that summer. [00:13:45] Speaker B: Well, I did that, you know, Smell you. [00:13:47] Speaker C: It was wonderful. I played. I played cribbage with DJ backstage. Oh, we had it all worked out. We can get in so many games because I didn't have to be on stage. And she was a dance captain and she played the queen, which is also like a walk on role, you know, and she was in the Ascot Races. Everybody's in the Ascot Races scene. [00:14:09] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:14:10] Speaker C: But, yeah, we played cribbage. It was wonderful. Never taught me to play cribbage, but we've played cribbage. It's one of my favorite card games ever in the whole wide world. [00:14:22] Speaker B: Anyway, this plane's underwater. [00:14:23] Speaker C: Oh, God, yes. Let's get back to the comic. [00:14:26] Speaker B: Aquaman says it's shallow. Shallow water, which also. The plane would be destroyed if that was true. And it. [00:14:31] Speaker C: Maybe it's one of those sully things where he Was able to slow it down and just, you know, make the plane land on the water. But then it went down. [00:14:39] Speaker B: That's not supported by the artwork. [00:14:42] Speaker C: No, no, it plunged. [00:14:44] Speaker B: Plunged nose first. [00:14:45] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:14:48] Speaker B: Also, by having the sawfish cut open the side of the plane, that's gonna make all the ocean water rush inside and the people are gonna drown rather than floating gently out the window with Aquamans. [00:14:59] Speaker C: That's not how it worked out, though. Everyone survived in the Alice. It's an horrific sank because they get [00:15:05] Speaker B: to the surface and Aqualid. I can't say it correctly. I'm sorry. I have to say, Aqualad. [00:15:11] Speaker C: It's not how it's supposed to be said. It's Aquaman and Aquiled Aqualid. Thank you. [00:15:18] Speaker B: Makes all the people join hands and gather in a circle. So they can't use their hands to keep them afloat. To dog paddle, they have to hold hands and sing. They're the best. Still, you have to use your arms. You can't just. They all bob like a cork. [00:15:32] Speaker C: They all go down together, singing a song. [00:15:37] Speaker B: Aqualid lays a happy song on the people. And then shortly, a Coast Guard cutter arrives and everyone is safe. Hoorah. Newspaper reporters arrive somehow to take Aqualid's and Aquaman's picture. And they get back to Atlantis, the ancestral home of Aquaman. [00:15:57] Speaker C: Actually, Aqualid is not in the picture. [00:15:59] Speaker B: Well, Aqualid's not from Atlantis, is he? He was from some other rival kingdom and he was abandoned on the rocks because he had purple eyes, which was a bad omen. And that's how Aquaman adopted em. Well, Meera's awfully proud of her husband. So is Aqua, Baby. Ga ga da da. Me too. Aquaman's also horny. He's gonna get some action with Mira. Make another baby. [00:16:29] Speaker C: Okay. [00:16:30] Speaker B: Poor Aqualid's wandering lonely. [00:16:33] Speaker C: He feels abandoned. [00:16:34] Speaker B: Well, he feels unappreciated because Aquaman only has time for his family these days. [00:16:39] Speaker C: Yeah, you know how moody teenagers can be. [00:16:43] Speaker B: Yes. Aqualid thinks he's the loneliest teenager in the whole wide world, above or below the seas, when suddenly, here comes a gal to lay a big smooch on his kisser. [00:16:55] Speaker C: Wow. [00:16:56] Speaker B: She's pretty brazen. I'll give her that. She introduces herself. Well, she doesn't have to, because he recognized her as Tula. [00:17:06] Speaker C: Tula? [00:17:07] Speaker B: A gawky, pigtailed kid he remembers from growing up. [00:17:11] Speaker C: Yes. She's filled out some. [00:17:13] Speaker B: She has. And she's got hairdo that looks like a Mariah Carey fishtail. No. Look at the back of It. Oh, yeah, I'm sure. [00:17:22] Speaker C: It's supposed to look like a fishtail. [00:17:26] Speaker B: Now she knows what's eating Aqualid because she's got the same problem. Nobody appreciates me. Nobody. You deserve just as much credit as Aquaman for that recipe. But did you get it? You're always playing second fiddle. You're old enough to strike out on your own, believe me. [00:17:44] Speaker C: Hmm. [00:17:46] Speaker B: And Aqualut agrees. Meera treats him like a little kid. Tula says, listen, the seven seas are big. You and I together could really get our kicks. We could even visit the upper world and have a ball. Atlantis doesn't want us, so why hang around? [00:18:03] Speaker C: Well, the power of teenage girls. [00:18:05] Speaker B: Yep. [00:18:06] Speaker C: To sway the opinions of a sad teenage boy. [00:18:09] Speaker B: There comes a time in every young man's life when love and feminine wiles kick him right in the heart. [00:18:18] Speaker C: When a boy and girl must strike out on their own. [00:18:24] Speaker B: What is that song? [00:18:26] Speaker C: We Are the World. Oh, right, right, right. [00:18:30] Speaker B: Sometime later, Tula shows up in a new two piece. [00:18:37] Speaker C: Look at her. [00:18:38] Speaker B: Two piece, yet somehow. Two piece, yet somehow modest. I'll tell you a costuming secret. [00:18:46] Speaker C: What? [00:18:47] Speaker B: All of the Murr sisters had to have their navels covered because otherwise the opera house gets strongly worded letters to the management. You're kidding. [00:18:57] Speaker A: No. [00:18:58] Speaker C: If their navels are shown. [00:18:59] Speaker B: Yes. They have to have modest bikinis like Annette Funicello in the beach movies. [00:19:04] Speaker C: I. I did notice that they were. They were quite adequate. I mean, like. I mean, they're busting covers. [00:19:14] Speaker B: Yes. [00:19:16] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? Like, what are those called? Bikini tops. [00:19:18] Speaker B: Yes. [00:19:18] Speaker C: Yes. [00:19:19] Speaker B: Yeah, they were seashell bikinis. [00:19:20] Speaker C: Yes. Yes, they were. I. I don't know where I'm going with this. I'm just like, the costumes are fantastic, but I just. I noticed it's like, oh, yeah, those are. I guess what I was. I did think about your mother saying she's gonna lose a lung. And when I was looking at the mermaid sisters on the. On the. On the stage, I thought, oh, those are. They're properly costumed. You know what I mean? Like I said, there's no danger of them ever losing a lung. I mean, they were trussed up like Christmas turkeys. [00:19:49] Speaker B: Well, when they last did the show, which I was also involved in, they had just nude bodysuits and then just showed. Sewed the shells right onto that. And they did get letters about that. [00:19:59] Speaker C: Did they? [00:20:02] Speaker B: Well, since Aqualid can almost see Tula's navel, he is raring to go. [00:20:09] Speaker C: Yes. [00:20:10] Speaker B: Up to the world above. Yes. [00:20:13] Speaker C: So what do they do they go back and see Aquaman and Meera and [00:20:18] Speaker B: Meera and to tell them he's leaving. [00:20:21] Speaker C: Right. And Aquaman's like, what? You want to leave Atlantis? Go off on your own because you don't feel appreciated? [00:20:26] Speaker B: But, but, but, But Mira's not having it. No, the very idea. Don't even discuss it with them, Aquaman. They're both too young to know what they're doing. You'll remain here or. [00:20:37] Speaker C: Right. And then Aqualid speaks up to Mira. Hold it, Meera. You can't order me around. I'm not Aqua, baby. I'm a man. [00:20:48] Speaker B: Aquaman, are you going to stand for this? Is this like when your stepmother and your, like a child and their stepmother gets in a fight? [00:20:57] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:20:58] Speaker B: And the father takes the side of the stepmother? [00:21:00] Speaker C: Yes, I suppose. [00:21:03] Speaker B: Only he is taking Aqualid's side. We can't make you hold him here. If he wants to go, it's okay with me. If it makes him happy. [00:21:09] Speaker C: He doesn't look happy, though. Aquaman does not look happy. [00:21:12] Speaker B: No, he looks sad. [00:21:13] Speaker C: He looks sad. He looks perplexed. [00:21:16] Speaker B: Aqualid also feels sad as he swims away, but he can't let it show. He's got his pride. [00:21:21] Speaker C: Well, this often happens in these situations because teens are struggling with the need for independence and to assert themselves. And parent figures are trying to figure out a way to keep the kids safe from harm and yet allow them to have some sense of independence. And of course, it doesn't always go right. [00:21:40] Speaker B: No. So off they ride on their giant sea horses. We learn that Tula has no one to say goodbye to because she's an orphan. Her parents died years ago. [00:21:54] Speaker A: And [00:21:56] Speaker B: Aqualid says, well, I'm kind of an orphan too, but we've got each other now. Aquachick. [00:22:03] Speaker C: I hate when he calls her Aqua Chick and he does call her Aqua Chicken all throughout. [00:22:09] Speaker B: They come upon an unusual scene. Dr. Dorsal's deep six discotheque. [00:22:15] Speaker C: How impractical is this? It is an underwater discotheque. [00:22:20] Speaker B: Yes. [00:22:21] Speaker C: That is patronized by humans. [00:22:25] Speaker B: Yes. [00:22:25] Speaker C: Under the sea in scuba gear. [00:22:28] Speaker B: Uh huh. Well, I guess if you're a teenage scuba enthusiast, you've got to have some place to go. [00:22:36] Speaker C: So put your scuba gear on and go underwater to an underwater place where you need to breathe the scuba gear and you dance around to a jukebox. That must be played at very, very high levels for the sound to travel through the water. [00:22:51] Speaker B: No. Water's an excellent conductor of sound. It can travel better in water than in air. [00:22:58] Speaker C: Then why is it that we can't [00:22:59] Speaker B: hear when you yell underwater because you're not yelling underwater. Because you have to breathe. Because that would use up all your air. [00:23:06] Speaker C: You've never played that game underwater? [00:23:08] Speaker B: No. [00:23:10] Speaker C: Where you. You and your friend go underwater and you look at each other and you try to say things underwater and try to figure out what the other person's saying. Oh, that's right. You didn't have any friends growing up. [00:23:19] Speaker B: Also, I've never been underwater. But you can't. [00:23:21] Speaker C: You have to been underwater. [00:23:23] Speaker B: You can't speak underwater because that uses up your air. [00:23:26] Speaker C: You just stay in a shallow end, you take a breath of air and you go underwater and you say something and the other person tries to figure out what you said. [00:23:35] Speaker B: And you're telling me that you are using the same force of air to speak underwater as you use when you're on the surface. [00:23:45] Speaker C: The next time you and I happen to be in a pool, we'll try it [00:23:51] Speaker B: anyway. That's why whales can communicate all over the globe. Because the sound travels. [00:23:57] Speaker C: Yes, sound does travel, but they have an apparatus that allows them to make. [00:24:02] Speaker B: You're an apparatus. [00:24:05] Speaker C: All right. So here we are in the discotheque. [00:24:09] Speaker B: Well, Aqualid and Aqua Girl are gonna get their frog on. They're underwater. What's the song? She's my underwater baby Even though she's done me wrong Scuba Dooba doo. Hey, dig those cats. [00:24:25] Speaker C: How cool can you get? [00:24:26] Speaker B: Are they for real? The human kids are loving this. Now Dr. Dorsal is on the scene. There's only one explanation. He thinks they're from Atlantis, the undersea city. What a stroke of luck having them here instead of the regular air breathing young people. I must make friends with them. So off he goes. You know he's evil because he's got a hair on the top of his hands. [00:24:53] Speaker C: That's a sign of evil. [00:24:55] Speaker B: Oh, er, maybe it's only for underwater people. Do you still have hair on the back of your hands if you're underwater? Go check right now. [00:25:08] Speaker C: I'll go draw a bath. [00:25:10] Speaker B: All right. Dr. Dorsal introduces himself and offers Aqualidan Aquagirl a job as cage dancers in the deep six discotheque. I'm just kidding. They're not in a cage. They're free. Freestyle. Yeah. [00:25:26] Speaker C: Tabletop Dancers. [00:25:28] Speaker B: All right. They must be good, though. And they're. The human children are thrilled. But unfortunately their air is running out. Time for us tank toting teens to bug out. Dig you later, cats. [00:25:48] Speaker C: How practical is it to go to a discotheque that's only open for as long as you can actually have air [00:25:52] Speaker B: in your tank like 45 minutes at a time. Maybe it's shift work. Maybe they limit the number of people allowed. And then they just rotate in and out. [00:26:02] Speaker C: Yeah. And like you can't. You can't open it up to a lot of people to come and dance. Because they all have to be scuba certified. [00:26:09] Speaker B: Yes. [00:26:10] Speaker C: It's not a very practical business model, is it? [00:26:12] Speaker B: Well, it's exclusive. Maybe there's a membership fee. [00:26:15] Speaker C: Okay. [00:26:18] Speaker B: Now, when the air breathing teenagers have gone, Dr. Dorsal says that the Aqua Teens have made his place the most popular hangout for the scuba set below or above the waves. So be my guests inside this giant snare drum where his living quarters and a lab are hidden. But Dr. Dorsal, you couldn't live down here. Then Dr. Dorsal takes his scuba gear off and he's got a horrifying face. [00:26:51] Speaker C: He does like Javier Bardem. [00:26:55] Speaker B: It looks like maybe someone tried to draw a caricature of Ringo Starr. [00:27:03] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, yeah. [00:27:05] Speaker B: And emphasized all ringo's worst features. Dr. Dorsal reveals that he is a water breather. But he is from another water world. In another dimension. Just like. Do you remember? [00:27:23] Speaker C: Wait. From another water world, Another dimension, just like the girl Tula. No, that's not correct. Wait, and water world. Well, does an Aqualad come from another water world? [00:27:33] Speaker B: No, it's Mira. [00:27:34] Speaker C: Oh, Myra. Okay, I'm sorry. [00:27:38] Speaker B: It's fine. [00:27:39] Speaker C: Can I still continue as a guest? [00:27:40] Speaker B: Certainly. [00:27:41] Speaker C: Okay. [00:27:43] Speaker B: Now, Dr. Dorsal also reveals that he got there through a warp of his own creation. Also, he has a two headed eel swimming around. [00:27:56] Speaker C: Yes, like Ursula. [00:27:58] Speaker B: Well, except those are two separate eels. [00:28:01] Speaker C: I know [00:28:04] Speaker B: these eel. Or this eel with two heads, locks eyes with Aqualid and Aquachick. And guess what? [00:28:14] Speaker C: It's a hypnotic eel. [00:28:15] Speaker B: They're hypnotized. And when they wake up, they will follow Dr. Dorsal's orders without question. [00:28:23] Speaker C: That's right. [00:28:24] Speaker B: They wake up. They want to know where the action is. Now that this club is closed. We don't find out because we go to the next day when the club opens again. And Aqualid says. Hey, human kids, how would you like some real excitement? Like a big guest appearance at King Pierre. King Pierre? Man, that's big time. [00:28:53] Speaker C: Cheer on Aqua Ladio. I hate that. This used to be a form of entertainment. The horse. [00:29:02] Speaker B: The diving horse. [00:29:03] Speaker C: Yeah. Unbelievable. [00:29:05] Speaker B: Well, they didn't die. [00:29:08] Speaker C: No, it's terrible. I don't like any of that. Never mind, it's not important. [00:29:15] Speaker B: You must be fun at a circus. [00:29:17] Speaker C: I don't like circuses. [00:29:19] Speaker B: Well, nobody does these days. I come from a long line of circus haters on my maternal side. [00:29:26] Speaker C: Yes. [00:29:27] Speaker B: Not long after, at a giant amusement pier jutting out into the sea from the mainland, it's Scubio the Diving Horse and his daring rider, Fishman. Not to be confused with Man Fish from the Sea Devils. But Aqualid climbs up onto the diving board, punches out Fishman, takes the horse for a dive, does a somersault off the back of the horse. Just as the horse lands in the water and unplugs, the spotlight cuts it. Thus allowing the human scuba teens to climb onto the pier and start robbing the fair goers of their money. [00:30:13] Speaker C: Their handbags, their watch. [00:30:14] Speaker B: My money. My watch. My handbag. My goodness. Aquagirl, luckily has a vacuum cleaner with her. She vacuums up the money from the ticket booth. [00:30:29] Speaker C: That's funny, because what's she gonna do, take that vacuum bag and vacuum cleaner down into the ocean? [00:30:35] Speaker B: She'll get it electrocuted if it's still plugged in. Moments later, the cops arrive, and Aqualad, Aquagirl and all the scuba teens dive back into the ocean, back to the discotheque, thinking they've just played a merry prank. [00:30:52] Speaker C: Right. They actually think that all the things they stole are going to be returned. Yeah, the teens. The human teens. [00:31:01] Speaker B: That's what usually happens when you rob someone. You return in later. [00:31:05] Speaker C: Aqualad and Aqua Chick. [00:31:06] Speaker A: No. [00:31:08] Speaker B: They are astonished to learn. Well, Aqualed is astonished. You mean you're gonna keep the stuff? But that bothers me. I don't feel right. [00:31:16] Speaker C: Let me give you another dose of this hypnotic eel. [00:31:18] Speaker B: Do, do, do, do do do do do do do do do do, do, do do. You see? Aqualed's starting to break the hypnosis because he's of his years of training. [00:31:27] Speaker C: Mm. [00:31:31] Speaker B: Aquagirl has no such compunction. So off they go. Dr. Dorsal's so pleased with himself, he's got another heist planned. But he knows that he's got to involve Aqualid and Aquagirl so deeply in his crimes that they can never go back to their other lives. [00:31:51] Speaker C: Right. [00:31:52] Speaker B: Need to be compromised two nights later at a posh yacht club ball. Who are these young people? [00:32:02] Speaker C: Who are they? [00:32:03] Speaker B: They must be guests of the club. [00:32:05] Speaker C: So they start dancing. [00:32:06] Speaker B: They start dancing rock and roll inside the stodgy old yacht club. Luckily, they've brought pea shooters in their tuxedos. [00:32:16] Speaker C: Smash out the lights. [00:32:17] Speaker B: Smash out the lights. [00:32:18] Speaker C: And start taking the jewelry. And, of course, the yacht trophy. [00:32:22] Speaker B: The yacht trophy? The very yacht trophy. [00:32:26] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:32:28] Speaker B: The Gogo kids race out onto the yacht club veranda Strip off their tuxedos, back into their scuba gear, get away into the bay, and within moments, fast speedboats race away from the yacht club dock to catch up with these teens. They see a flare out in the ocean. The people who are chasing the teens, they see a flare, they head right for it. Well, it's Aqualid. [00:32:55] Speaker C: Yes. [00:32:56] Speaker B: Luring them to crash into a buoy. [00:33:00] Speaker C: Yeah. And then there's Aqua Girl. Aqua Chick. Aqua Chick, yeah. And she is seen by another boat, and she lures them, but she is on a shallow. She's in a shallow. [00:33:11] Speaker B: She's on a shallow coral reef or something. [00:33:14] Speaker C: Yeah. Which makes the boat slam into it. [00:33:16] Speaker B: The boat slams right into the beach. [00:33:18] Speaker C: Oh, God, that makes me scared. [00:33:20] Speaker B: Why? [00:33:21] Speaker C: When I was a kid, we used to go to the Keys to see my grandparents, my mom and my stepdad and my sister and me. And my stepdad was fearless in the water. And I was always, always, always afraid of the ocean. Not like swimming at the beach, but like going into just open water and going to coral reefs and swimming around coral reefs. I was. I mean, I wasn't even a teenager yet, you know, and he would force me to do it. He put a mask on me and forced me, and I was terrified to do it. And I just remember, like, swimming along the reef and you'd have all this grass all around you, and you could touch the grass, but there's always creatures everywhere, of course. Always, like. And you'd see sharks and barracuda and beautiful fish and just like all sorts of things that could kill you. And I just remember being. I mean, I was not even. I'm gonna say I was probably 8 or 9 years old, and I was terrified. Terrified all the time. I remember this one time where we were swimming along in the Keys and, you know, we would anchor the boat and then we'd make go out in the water and I was just. Oh, I just so scared. And, you know, I'm afraid of heights. [00:34:40] Speaker B: Yes. [00:34:41] Speaker C: Right. So there's this one time I go over the edge of a reef and it has this massive drop. And all of a sudden you find yourself looking down a massive height from where you are. And I remember as being, as a child just being terrified that. Oh, my gosh, it's like I didn't realize how afraid of heights I was until I'm floating on the surface, looking down, and I could see all these. Just massive amounts of marine life down there swimming around. Sharks too, you know, and just being terrified, of course. Well, that's. Well, you know what my mom had conditioned me to be afraid of the ocean because she took me to see Jaws at an age that was completely inappropriate for me. You know, if you're a longtime listener of this, you know that my mother used to take me to the drive in theater and see movies that were totally inappropriate for children. The Exorcist and whatnot. [00:35:26] Speaker B: Well, you saw the Exorcist, and you're not afraid of church. Did you try sticking your mouth underwater and asking your stepfather to be exposed? Excused for the activity. [00:35:38] Speaker C: Shut up. [00:35:41] Speaker B: All right, the Go Go kids get away. Well, barely, because here comes a Coast Guard copter after them. Coast Guard copter snaps some photos of Aqualid and Aquagirl, which are taken back to Coast Guard hq. And not long after, Aquaman is summoned. Right. That's Aqualid and Tula. All right, gentlemen, I'd appreciate it if I could handle this in my own way. I guess that's all right. Let's turn over all law enforcement to a single person. [00:36:17] Speaker C: He's king of the ocean. [00:36:19] Speaker B: He's king of the ocean. But he has no authority on US Soil. We don't like kings in this country, in case you haven't noticed. [00:36:26] Speaker C: It's true. [00:36:28] Speaker B: All right, well, Aquaman's got a plan. And a short while later, in a secluded cove along the coast, the Gogo kids are startled by a. Do you ever read any of the wizard of Oz books? Beyond the wizard of Oz? [00:36:45] Speaker C: No. [00:36:46] Speaker B: Well, there's a character called the Shaggy man who's essentially a hobo that Dorothy befriends and takes to the Land of Oz. And he. Even when he gets to the Land of Oz, apparently he doesn't take to bathing or changing his clothes. He just continues being the Shaggy man because he looks shaggy. This is the Shaggy man on the beach here collecting shells. Or for non Oz book readers, he looks like the Batman villain the Scarecrow. [00:37:15] Speaker C: Yes, he does. [00:37:17] Speaker B: Or I guess we could just say a scarecrow. [00:37:21] Speaker C: He kind of looks like a scarecrow. His pants are cinched at the waist with a belt or a rope or something. You know, they're very loose. And he's got loose shirt. [00:37:29] Speaker B: He's got a straw hat and a pet net to collect shells in. Now, this shell picker warns the teens that the Coast Guard unit is closing in to capture all of you. And in fact, they look around a rock outcropping. And in fact, it is Coast Guard cutter coming around the bend. So Aqualid orders everyone to dive. Shell picker says, what about me? Surely they'll imprison me. For aiding and abetting you in your crimes. Aqualid says, don't fear Shell Picker. We never let a friend take the wrap for us. There's an extra tank on the beach. Come with us under the sea in your heavy. [00:38:12] Speaker C: He didn't say folding. Hey, can you. Can you use scuba gear? [00:38:19] Speaker B: Grab a tank and go. Shell Picker goes under the sea with them. They all escape. The Coast Guard is firing live munitions under the ocean at these children. Luckily, no one gets shot. Aqualid leads them all back to the discotheque, explaining to Dr. Dorsal that they had a close call. But this shell picker saved the day. While Dr. Dorsal is having none of this, he already suspects. [00:38:55] Speaker C: He says, there's something fishy about this fellow. [00:38:59] Speaker B: Nice pun. Dr. Dorsal's gonna keep a close watch on him. And not long after, he finds the shawl Picter in his office, rummaging around. What are you doing? No one here is permitted in my lab. I was searching for shells. I found this one in here. Pretty. No. [00:39:23] Speaker C: Well, don't let it happen again. [00:39:26] Speaker B: All right. That did nothing to assuage Dr. Dorsal. [00:39:30] Speaker C: Suspicion? [00:39:30] Speaker A: No. [00:39:30] Speaker C: He's very suspicious. [00:39:31] Speaker B: Now he's giving the teenagers a new assignment, more important than any other. I need something from the atomic sub base at Surfport. Well, no problem. Tula says we can handle it. It'll be the biggest kick yet. Right, kids? All right. One of these teens is getting wise. He says, that's carrying this game too far. We can't take on the US Government. [00:39:58] Speaker C: Aqualid says, quiet. You'll follow orders. [00:40:01] Speaker B: Well, that's good. Aqualid and Toola are still under hypnotic effect. And let me also remind you youngsters that your previous raids have already. You Criminals. Criminals? But you said all that stuff would be put back. [00:40:15] Speaker C: We were just doing it for kicks, Dr. Dorsal. [00:40:18] Speaker B: Fools. How can you put back stolen stuff? Now, you'll obey my commands, or I shall reveal it all to the authorities at once. [00:40:25] Speaker C: Of course, all of this conversation is being overheard by the shell picker on the other side of a rock. [00:40:31] Speaker B: All right. After the kids leave, Dr. Dorsal observes the shell picker swimming up to the surface. He swims up to a buoy and slips a note inside. After the shell picker leaves, Dr. Dorsal opens the buoy, reads the note. We don't get to see what's on it. But he rips it in half and takes the top half back to Aqualid. And explaining that Shellpicker is a spy. Aqualid, this note to the Coast Guard about our plants proves it. [00:41:04] Speaker C: I wonder what kind of water. Excuse me, what kind of paper? He's written this on waterproof paper. Because Aquaman. Aquaman wrote the note. [00:41:12] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:41:13] Speaker C: Underwater. [00:41:13] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:41:14] Speaker C: Folded it up, placed it in a buoy. [00:41:16] Speaker B: Yep. [00:41:16] Speaker C: So this. What? This. This wa. This paper on which the note has been written, has been written on underwater with God knows what. Squid ink, you know, of course. [00:41:24] Speaker B: Duh. [00:41:24] Speaker C: I don't know how that works. If you're writing underwater and then it's folded up and placed into a buoy and then transport it around. [00:41:31] Speaker B: So probably like seal skin or something. [00:41:34] Speaker C: Seal skin [00:41:37] Speaker B: or some kind of. Surely you could make kelp into some kind of paper like substance. [00:41:44] Speaker C: Well, it has fibers. Yes, but then it has to dry and then it has to remain dry underwater, which is not possible. [00:41:51] Speaker B: Well, that's why I suggested seal skin. And you poo pooed that idea. [00:41:54] Speaker C: Why would he use animal skin to dry it on? [00:41:57] Speaker B: Seals aren't. What else? [00:42:01] Speaker C: Seals aren't what? [00:42:02] Speaker B: Fish. [00:42:03] Speaker C: They're mammals. [00:42:04] Speaker B: These aqua people only care about fish, for God's sake. All right. Aqualid approaches Shell Picker and says that he's going to go with them on this atomic sub raid. Sometime later, they arrive. There's apparently a net or a gate of some kind. Oh. Electrify defense surrounding the sub base. Luckily, Acolyd has a magnetic sponge. Is that a thing? [00:42:35] Speaker C: I think he's just calling a magnetic sponge a grenade. I mean, I don't know how he has an explosive, but he does. I think it's supposed to be some sort of slang because he says magnetic sponge and sponge is in quotes. [00:42:49] Speaker B: Oh, okay. Well, it punches a hole in the fence or something. They squeeze through. Then there's a minefield. [00:42:58] Speaker C: Yes. [00:43:01] Speaker B: The kids. The teens say, there's no way through. Mines. We'll all be killed. The kids start to panic and leave and Aquagirl pushes, says, here's the way through. [00:43:15] Speaker C: She pushes Shell picker. Shell picker into the mines. [00:43:21] Speaker B: That's murder. Which would explode. [00:43:23] Speaker C: Yeah, that's murder. [00:43:24] Speaker B: So remember when Aqualid was having compunction about robbing someplace because his subconscious mind was refusing to do something that he wouldn't do in real life? [00:43:34] Speaker C: Yes. [00:43:35] Speaker B: This means Aquagirl would actually murder someone in real life. [00:43:37] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. She's totally comfortable with it. Yeah, she's a murderess. [00:43:43] Speaker B: Aqualid's astonished. They swim over to Shell Picker and she says, he deserved it. He was a spy. Dr. Dorsal proved he was a spy. They swim over, realize that the shell picker's wearing a face mask. They pull the mask off and a wailing wolffish. It's Aquaman. But it can't be. Yeah, it's my fault. I didn't mean it. I, I. [00:44:09] Speaker C: At the sight of Aquaman, Aqualid shakes every inch of his little frame. He snaps out of his hypnosis and says, what have we done? Why are we here? And of course Aquachick is like, oh, it's not my fault. I didn't mean it. [00:44:24] Speaker B: I, I, I mean. Well, here come Navy frogman. After them. They capture the other Teens, but Aqualid and Aquagirl get away because they're Super Atlantan swimmers. They go back to the Deep Six Disco tunnel. [00:44:42] Speaker C: They left Aquaman there, by the way, dead. [00:44:45] Speaker B: Well, what are they gonna do? He's dead. What are they gonna do about him? [00:44:47] Speaker C: Aren't they very powerful swimmers? Can't they just grab him and take him with him? [00:44:50] Speaker B: Well, the Navy's there. They've got to get away and get Dr. Dorsal. Dr. Dorsal wants to know where the atomic apparatus is. And he is surprised to see that Aqualid has come to his right mind. The old shell picker Aquaman is dead and it's all your fault. [00:45:13] Speaker C: But you're wrong. I didn't know who he was. Except he was against us. A spy. [00:45:17] Speaker B: That's true. He didn't know who he was. Just then, Aquagirl finds the other half of the ripped off note which contains Aquaman's he, I'm going to say signature in quotes because it's been block, capital letters is Aquaman's signature. [00:45:34] Speaker C: Maybe Aquaman didn't learn cursive. [00:45:38] Speaker B: Well, this version of Aquaman was raised on land. And in a time when they did teach cursive in schools, which is a time that no longer exists, by the way. All right. Dr. Dorsal tries to set this two headed eel back on, but Aqualid's too wise for that. He tells Aquagirl to close her eyes and he kills the eel. [00:46:00] Speaker C: He does. [00:46:00] Speaker B: He stabs it with a trident. [00:46:02] Speaker C: Good. [00:46:03] Speaker B: Kills it. [00:46:04] Speaker C: Then Dr. Dorsal disappears. [00:46:07] Speaker B: Disappears into a warp. And Aqualid can't follow because apparently the warp can only be entered by people from that dimension. Which we learn from Aquaman, who's alive. Hurrah. I guess I've got more lives than a catfish. Aqualid. That explosion just stunned me. [00:46:29] Speaker C: Aquaman, how can I explain? How can you ever forgive me? Says Aqualid. [00:46:32] Speaker B: Sob. I'm sorry too, Aquaman. I guess I'm just a little foolish female with a desire to kill. [00:46:40] Speaker C: It's easy, both of you. As the old shell picker. I saw that Dorsal had you under that eel's spell. You can't be blamed for that. Except for you murderous. [00:46:50] Speaker B: The Aqua Kids just followed you. They've already been paroled in their parents custody. After we return all the stolen loot, you two will have to go back to Atlantis and my custody. [00:47:03] Speaker C: Everybody knows that when teens commit crime that the best and most effective way that you can keep them from committing crime is to keep them in the custody of their parents. Especially parole per concierge. [00:47:15] Speaker B: Yes, and especially when it's two teens of opposite sex sex who are hot for each other. Take them back to both live in the same house. That's a great idea. [00:47:24] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:47:25] Speaker B: And so, sometime later, back in the world's only undersea city. [00:47:30] Speaker C: Darling, you're so wise. By letting them make their own mistakes, they learned a lesson they'll never forget. [00:47:36] Speaker B: And a lesson I'll never forget either. Mira, honey, that mine almost made me the wisest man in the underwater cemetery. Da, da. [00:47:46] Speaker C: Wise man. [00:47:47] Speaker B: Do do do do do do. Well, Rob. [00:47:54] Speaker C: Yes? You don't usually call me by my name. [00:47:56] Speaker B: I'm sorry, Dr. Husband. [00:47:58] Speaker C: Yes. [00:47:59] Speaker B: I'm gonna go back to the letters page for the editor's urging hold the wire. What do you think of her? We mean Aquagirl, of course. She's our answer to the thousands of requests for a girlfriend for Aqualad. Such as, Dear Editor, I think you should have a heroine called Aquagirl. And you should have her team up with Aqualad. Debbie Ratten, Indianapolis, Indiana. [00:48:24] Speaker C: Dear Editor, I'm all in favor of having a girl partner for Aqualad. Charles McKinney, Chicago, Illinois. [00:48:30] Speaker B: Dear Editor, as for a girlfriend for Aqualad, how about this? A great scientist develops a machine that turns humans into amphibians. During his first attempt on a 15 year old girl, the machine explodes and the scientist is killed. The girl survives and is an amphibian. She becomes Aqualid's girlfriend and starts a career as an amphibian girl. Lauren Blomgren, Baltimore, Maryland. I wonder if she knows. Oh my God. I can't think of her name. The letter writer. Irene Fartvoroff. What is wrong with my brain? [00:49:05] Speaker C: I don't know. [00:49:07] Speaker B: As you can see, Lauren, we didn't quite get around to introducing Aquagirl in the way you suggested. Instead, we just had a horny teenage girl that was hot for Aqualid show up one day in the castle. Do you all dig Aqualid's Deep Six chick, right? And tell us if we should bring her back? [00:49:24] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:49:24] Speaker B: Well, doctor Husband. [00:49:26] Speaker C: Yeah, what? [00:49:29] Speaker B: The Editor is waiting for your opinion on Aquachick. [00:49:33] Speaker C: You know, I Wasn't sold when I read it by myself. But like the rest of my life, reading something and experiencing something with you is a lot more fun. [00:49:44] Speaker B: I'm so glad. In fact, she does reappear several times. She's an honorary member of the Teen Titans. And she tragically is murdered by Metalman's enemy Kimo in the Crisis on Infinite Earths. [00:50:00] Speaker C: Oh my God. [00:50:01] Speaker B: Yeah. Wa Wa. She does come back as a Black Lantern. [00:50:09] Speaker C: Okay. [00:50:10] Speaker B: But then is also asteroid again. [00:50:13] Speaker C: Asteroid. [00:50:15] Speaker A: So. [00:50:17] Speaker B: But I think I love her hairdo. [00:50:19] Speaker C: It's cute, isn't it? [00:50:21] Speaker B: Yeah. Now she mostly comes back to babysit Aquababy, who never grows up. Well, he's also tragically murdered by Black Manta. [00:50:30] Speaker C: Oh my God. [00:50:31] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:50:33] Speaker C: So. [00:50:33] Speaker B: But she doesn't. [00:50:34] Speaker C: But he never grows up like the Carries in Little House in the Prairie. [00:50:37] Speaker B: No, he doesn't grow up to be not cute and unable to act. But she does help out. There's later on some kind of rebellion against Aquaman's kingship and she leads underground resistance. She's kind of badass. [00:50:52] Speaker C: Speaking of Little House in the Prairie. [00:50:54] Speaker B: Yes. [00:50:54] Speaker C: We watched the first episode of the new reboot. [00:50:57] Speaker B: We did? [00:50:58] Speaker C: I did not like it. [00:50:59] Speaker B: I didn't either. [00:51:00] Speaker C: But I have to tell you something. [00:51:03] Speaker B: What? [00:51:04] Speaker C: Having watched that first episode makes me want to go back and watch the entire Little House series. The original series. [00:51:10] Speaker B: That can be arranged. While we've got to balance it with Love Boat. [00:51:14] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:51:16] Speaker B: I have a secret to tell you. [00:51:17] Speaker C: What? [00:51:17] Speaker B: I did watch the second episode because Alison Arngrum, who played Nellie Olsen, has a cameo. [00:51:25] Speaker C: She does? Yeah. And what did you. Did you change your opinion? [00:51:30] Speaker B: No. [00:51:31] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:51:31] Speaker B: But there is a very nice deep cut open shirt scene with Pa and ladies. He is a snack. And also, Mr. Edwards is not to be sniffed at. [00:51:48] Speaker C: But there's something about it that's just not. [00:51:52] Speaker B: It's not light hearted and funny and also tear jerking and tragic at the same time. [00:51:57] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:51:57] Speaker B: It's just morose. It's sad. [00:52:00] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:52:01] Speaker B: Like probably real Life on the Prairie was in the 1800s. But we don't want real life from our television. We want entertainment. [00:52:08] Speaker C: We want entertainment indeed. [00:52:10] Speaker B: All right, you can find us on social media, Ogocheckpod. You can rate and review us wherever you get your podcasts from. You can find us on our sister podcast, Nerd Orchestra. And you can find us right back here next week with our army at war. [00:52:28] Speaker C: Oh, nice. [00:52:30] Speaker B: With Sergeant Rock. He will fight Nazis with his 12 inch bayonet. You thought I was gonna rhyme with Rock, didn't you? [00:52:45] Speaker C: Did not actually at all. [00:52:47] Speaker B: Bye. [00:52:56] Speaker A: Wondering why. [00:53:31] Speaker B: Kicking out the hazy Looking for the world.
